Looks like a great time. I didn't hit the road till 1900hrs last night and it would have been pointless to head there at that point (but I thought about it). Three hours just to get to the trailhead and I didn't see anyone mention they were staying Saturday night. Figured I would drive all the way up there and still be camping by myself. LOL

Are you looking for a 3 or 4 season tent ? Are you wanting it to double as a backpacking tent or strictly for your vehicle ?

We cut our own every year, it would be awesome to do it this year with tacomaworld!

Greenwater is usually where I go, just get a permit at the ranger station in Enumclaw ($10) and head up on a snow run until we find a nice patch

Great meet up ! Some trails and outdoor therapy was way overdue for me. Thanks @TexMeg89 for organizing and @JimSnell for the cooking skills.

its been so long since ive made camping a regular thing. i know so little about what to buy. a 3 season would suffice. buying a quality tent is my priority. id likely be solo so it doent need to be big.

If you're law enforcement, emt/fire, military, or some other form of first responder or prior any of that check out experticity. You can get some very nice tents for half off. If you're looking for lightweight durable is normally sacrificed for weight saving. Though a 3 season tent that weights 2 pounds hiking up at 10k plus feet is nice

Get something big enough to fit both you and a buddy heater, at least if you're going snow wheeling.

Tied several boat anchors to my truck to destroy MPG.
I've camped in some pretty deep snow fall in a 3 seasons tent...heck with just a tarp too. Yes, they all aren't built to the same and there are some companies out there still under promising and over delivering. Part of it is also how well and where you pitch it.

If we are just talking "car camping" i'd just get a burly tent....who cares about size/weight. Get a big wall tent mansion.

I have a big Teepee from these guys for hunting:
    https://seekoutside.com/

and just REI tents scored off craiglist for camping.
In the past I have had super burly tents like a Bibler, but now I go for light weight if I'm backpacking and if I'm car camping I go big.

Anyone down for some pew pew this Saturday? The weather looks like it should be decent. I have a semi-secret location off Mtn Loop Hwy that I like to go and its usually empty. Has lots of space for shooting and parking. Reqs 4x4 to get to [not a problem for us] - also you will get some pinstriping....

@PacNW_Taco @Taco_Kev808 @Goran @scifidelity and anyone else who is interested [I cant remember who else was hoping to shoot last weekend]
