Something must have hit it on the highway. The 1st fin on the outer boot had a small hole in it when we got to Lone Pine and it was slinging grease. It survived the trip but it'll need to be swapped out.

I'm gonna order a couple high angle CVJ remans but I'd be interested in the OEM one rebooted as a quality spare, I'll hit you up about it soon thanks man

My only thing against chromoly shafts is your flirting with your diff being a weak point, not that I haven't seen a chromoly cv snap, just my opinion. Id rather pop an axle.

    Which trail?

Gotta watch my 8yr old nephew this Sunday so I can't...unless maybe I bring him along. Depending on the trail though lol.

Not a clue , although it won’t be anything you would consider difficult since Kyle is on 31s in his little 90s pickup.... any suggestions? :notsure:

On a different note, so are you gonna get a minivan or a 4 door soon for your next little camper :boink:, dibs on your truck :bananadance:

    :smack: how dare you

Nah I'm going to be keeping my truck for the foreseeable future, eventually I'll get a commuter and my truck will be the weekend toy. I'll reevaluate the situation in a few years when the kid's actually old enough to come along on trails.

Trail recommendations...well keeping it relatively easy would probably mean White Mountain. But I thought you and Kyle did Gold Mtn too that one day after we did White so that's always an option too. Although don't rely on me being there, I'm like 10% sure I'd be able to make it. My nephew's only been wheeling with me once and it was some fire roads, and he got bored pretty quick lol.

Boot tore on the highway on the way up there, was a brand new axle but shitty parts store boot quality so something must have just bit it on the highway. It survived the LL trail though.

Yeah there was a rowdy group of ATV'ers up there all last weekend as well which kind of ruined part of the experience. But overall wasn't too bad, they claimed the area with all the trees and we had the other side mostly to ourselves. A lot of people came and went but not very many camped.

Shit that reminds me I'd have to replace that axle before I do any more trails esp if I do one this weekend.

Yeah we ran White Mtn that one time with the group of 6 or 7 of us, with the Ford Raptor in the group. Then Kyle met up with us while we were airing up and you guys went and did Gold I think
