My engine seems to be in good health. I take really good care of her. But I'm not the original owner. Here's a picture of when i changed the valve cover gaskets.

Bought a used TRD Supercharger for $1900 with the TRD gauge . Replaced all the bearings. Cleaned the housing and installed using factory literature and templates. All in all, just under $2300 with new bearings, fluid, coupler, spark plugs, wires, intake and TRD O throttle gasket, belts and template. Supercharger definitely worth it. I am not planning on doing any other mods. I am planning on driving as many miles for the life of this car!

Just an update and FYI... drove the truck some more today and I definitely noticed ping at tip in. I’m definitely going to need the 7th injector kit. It’s gonna start getting hot here in south Texas. I’ll be calling gadget tomorrow as I need to know when the other stuff will be coming in. They also sent me the wrong gauge pod mount. I’m still really happy with it. Truck drives just as good or better than before.

Is there a guide on installing a meth kit specific to our superchargers?
    Thanks

It’s actually not that hard to do as long as your good with electrical wiring.
There are different models with different add on options. Controlers, Gauge, level sensor,
You should have an AFR Gauge if running a supercharger and you can fine tune the methonal
kit with the AFR Gauge and if you do go for a smaller pulley and fuel health.
You can use the windshield tank to keep everything clean.
Look at my build page for

Hi there I installed my supercharger in my 95.5 Tacoma back in February. I had a talk with Steve Gadget from URD about the ECU. One thing he told me to be sure to find an ECU from a 97 only that is exactly the same as mine which is 5 speed 4 wheel drive extended cab six foot bed and it will work, so I did just that and it works great even before I installed the supercharger. I bought a used one and the harness fits exactly like the 95.5 ECU nothing else needed. Sorry I don't think I have a picture of it as far as the numbers go. I think I asked the person I bought it from for pics. of the pin setup. If you do some research you will find the correct one. I hope this helps.

One more thing if you get the 7th injector kit after installing it make sure the PCU is get an RPM signal!! If not it will hesitate at around 3000 rpm and up. It happen to me!!

How did you make sure of that? I don't think mine has that issue but I also don't really know whether or not my 7th even starts spraying until around 3k RPMs lol. I wish I could tell when it comes on and when it doesn't, without hooking a computer up to it anyway

Can you beat the LCEngineering price of $2995 SHIPPED with no tax though? If so, I'll make the drive down to Denver when I get back next week to pick up a kit.
