I didn’t go at it like I was fighting a fire. Wasn’t looking to make anything a race, and was more concerned with a clean, functional finish when it was complete. Took my time, plenty of adult beverage breaks because of a 98° garage, and just enjoyed the work. Did the door speakers while I was in there. Being the first time I’d removed the door panels and mirrors, the last thing I wanted to do was break something. Took me a lot longer than 90mins, but I couldn’t be happier with the results. Not everyone is a professional mechanic.

    It's complicated.
There's always that one guy who feels he's gotta play the play the "oh yeah? well I did it..." (better, faster, cheaper, etc.)

Wonderful. Good for you. Cool story, bro. Tell it again.

Finally got mine finished. The person at the Mexico Toyota Assembly Plant who decided that it was a good idea to glue the door boots & wiring harnesses needs to be monkey stomped!

I dont see anything wrong with how fast he finished it. I also found it absurd that it was taking people 3-4 hours to install it. But its a different mentality, since we do this for a living and most of the vehicles come apart the same way.

I finally got mine done on Saturday.

Yeah. It took about four and a half hours. I also did a few other things while doing the install. I walked my son through a few of the finer points of this kind of install too. He's taken an interest in what I've been doing to my truck. It was also way too hot to be doing any kind of install. Plenty of water breaks and cool downs.

A lot of people here swear by this tool for the puddles install. Just letting you know they have it at Home Depot for $8.97. Hope to install mine soon

He's got a lot going on with the truck and sema and the new shop. I'm sure it's still a few weeks away before the switch comes out.

    This is true.
all wiring/length/connectors/ switch etc have been finalized. But the holdup is molding a new front face switch with the logo/text I want.
