I’d have to pack some extra pairs of boxers for a trail like that.

It’s an easy trail just a couple intimidating obstacles the photo above being one and the start of the trail you have to back down an obstinate but it really is easy. There was an old Chevy Tahoe and a stock jeep at the end of the trail. Although the Tahoe did blow out its passenger side rear window in the obstacle above lol but it was due to driver error

with the enlistment, im getting a semi decent bonus this next spring/summer. so time to start planning on some truck parts. going to start looking into front suspension so i can get rid of the stock w/ spacers. (so if anybody has plans of getting rid of some, still in decent shape, front suspension around may ish... )not sure how much lift i will need yet because im not sure how much the rear lifted when i put the dakar pack in (stock springs were sagging bad, put current pack in and went up like 5" from where i was sitting lol). definitely higher in the back than the front right now

would like to level it or get it closer to level. worst case i can take one of the overloads out of the rear (dakar HD?) to help make up the difference.

Disregard. I'm going to do front and rear bumpers first, then can decide on what suspension to go with later on. I'm liking the trailgear lowpro front bumper. havent decided on a rear. Would like a plate high clearance rear but Idk if it would look weird having tube front and plate rear

Trail gear is shady I hear. I wouldn’t give them my money.

Keep it local and go BAMF. Best decision you’ll make when it comes to armor on the truck.

Plus, fuck those guys at trailgear.

I've seen alot of guys say that. When I worked at an offroad shop in visalia, we did tons of work with them. Got parts almost weekly for trucks and never had any issues but that's just my experience though

I know they did some shady stuff when they first opened but I figured they turned that around.

You still consider them shady? From personal experience or people you know?

I've never bought anything from them but if your going to blanket label a company as shady tell us why.

The things I have seen/heard about Shady back door dealings with bankrupt vendors. Not the kind of business I will give my money to.

Yes, you can take out the overloads. It will just reduce physical height by thickness of them. I've read you can remove the 3rd leaf (not sure which is third) but that's a bit more work.

This is why I've never purchased anything from them. Also some patent stuff they got into with other vendors (that I like) in CA right at the beginning.

I hadn't heard anything about them being shady recently.

Someone who I do buy parts (non trail gear parts) from is a vendor for them, he's a good guy.
