the first weekend after my wife bought her old car, she made me borrow it (forced me to borrow it!!). her mother picked the car and made her pay for it. anyways, my great and all knowing mother-in-law said it was the perfect car. long story short i was driving home on a four lane highway that merges into a two lane highway over a bridge (stupid set up). the front driverside tire blew up just as a line of cars/trucks/transports were speeding up to get on to the four lane highway.

anyways after calming down i got out to change the tire (which i wasnt even sure if there was a spare in the car). was the middle of the night, nothing in the car, i was freezing my ass off and was being passed by cars doing 60 mph about 8 ft behind me. i jacked up the car, took the flat tire off and jammed it under the frame beside the jack since i couldnt see anything. the jack slipped and the car came down on the flat

 

good thing you had the other wheel under there... Guess I'll have to do that, next time I change my tire. Used to have to do it about once a month with a Mazda I used to have.

Pics! Would you use it as an off road rig or restore it and keep it as clean as possible?

 

i did not take pics, i would become an offroad rig as it doesnt really go over 45 mph ever, lots of torque.. currently needs a gas tank and carb job, tires

 

Oh yeah!

Perfect opportunity to run it on propane if you can find a kit for it.
