I have a friend that rides at Erwin Park in McKinney and they have built it up pretty well with features.

I had bicycle wheel warehouse build me a set of their Pure XCR 26" wheelsets. It was really reasonably priced. Under $400 for the pair IIRC. Blue rims, black spokes, blue nipples, and blue hubs.

You should not have to disconnect the trans from the engine, but not a bad idea to at least loosen the bottom side of the trans mount to be sure you don't rip it when lifting the engine. You probably only have an inch or two to lift up. It looks like 05's had an issue where the part on the frame that the motor mount bolts to can crack. Have you inspected the frame and mount?

    Sounds sexy....

I am thinking of changing over my drivetrain to a 1x11 setup and was recommended to look at Box Components, just not sure where to start yet or if I want to throw down the money on a new drive train. But I would like to get rid of the 2x setup I have now.

I just purchased new pedals, new seat, and got some other stuff for maintenance and cleaning of the bike I have put off...

I swapped to 1x10 and have never looked back, i kept the rear end the same but did a narrow-wide front sprocket to prevent chain hop

My bike is on a 2008 frame so its pretty old but I built it so its got decent components for 2008.

I went with raceface 32t narrow-wide i think. Rear is an x-7 rd, XT 10sp cog, XTR chain

I ran a standard front sprocket with a chain keeper but it still hopped, hasnt hopped once on the narrow-wide with no keeperp

Nice! I did an order today for some new parts for the bike.

Guess I need to start looking for a 1x11 drivetrain setup...

Just got these in after ordering them from the REI Used Gear site... $49 shipped to me for practically brand new Pearl Izumi X-Alp Flow... had to get them in 47EU size, but they fit perfectly and have a great arch support in them.

Yeah I’ve checked it and they are both fine. I just have a clicking in the driving side when I accelerate or hit a bump. I was going to just go ahead and order the reinforcement kit and install it while I had my skid plate off.

My battery lasted 3 years and 3 months. Not bad for the Texas heat and 45k miles.
