They just let you keep it? That’s surprising.

You'll just end up with a warrant in CA, as long as you avoid the state you'll be fine lol. I have a friend that got a speeding ticket in Kansas while driving across country 10+ years ago, never paid it. Has a warrant for his arrest in KS so he just avoids it. Not that hard to avoid Kansas, I mean what the hell is there in that state anyway

It's just the frame with the dealership nameplate inside of it, new cars have them on all the time until their plates arrive in the mail.

Although nowadays it seems like people get these paper plates with actual numbers on them

The jig saw is pretty nice. I was only cutting plexiglass with it. But it did it effortlessly.

Wanna sell me the 2.0. I cant ever have enough. Especially because I’ll probably start building a Milwaukee collection at the shop and in my truck

I thought you meant an actual dealer plate. A licensed dealer can put them on any car to drive them on public roads.

This is a California dealer plate.

You need to have a physical location in Cali with a sign posted to be a dealer here.

I've been eyeing one of the M18 jigsaws but I really have no use for one.

I'm gonna hang onto the 2.0s. I haven't tested runtime on the 3.0s yet, I hate carrying around chargers with me when I'm not at home, I rather just pack extra batteries. Plus the 2.0s aren't worth much. Can get em on ebay for $20-$25 shipped new so not worth it to me to sell them.

I wanted the m18 jigsaw but they were all out. So i went with the m12. But for 99$ its worth it. I may never use it again.
I need to swap to 3.0 for work probably. And keep the 1.5 at the shop.
And i still need to get a 12ah to have in case i gotta make long cuts with a grinder or run the flood light all night. But fuck 250$ for a battery is insane.

Yup I hear ya, the 12.0s are crazy expensive, I think it'll be a while till they come down in price. The 9.0s too but I managed to get one for $80 new & even then I was hesitant. But the M18 blower don't last that long with 5.0s.

They just came out with 6.0 & 8.0 High Output. The HOs use 21700 cells instead of 18650 so they might be an alternative for you if you need runtime. The 12.0 is the first batt they came out with that uses the 21700 cells. Not sure what they go for though, probably expensive too right now I assume. Plus the 12.0 is so big & bulky, even the 9.0 depending on what you use it on.

I don't like the long length of the HO batts though when used with impacts. They're slightly wider also so if you have any M18 models that are older than 2018 you'll have to get the wider clip to use the HO batts or bend em. I just found that out when I got the M18 CP3.0HO. Luckily the seller swapped the clip out for the new wider one. I heard if you contact Milwaukee they would send you one, I did & they told me I had to buy them. I won't bother. P/N 42-70-5151

I'll stick with 5.0XC batts, best bang for the buck still, I just carry extra with me even though I've never killed one in a days work for what I do.
