Yeah the amp right behind it is a nice feature. I have the OEM Audio plus system and the amp for that sits attached to the underside of the seat so not as convenient.

The Halo9 is the Alpine HU I have right now, but it extends outside of the dash due to size. But man the sound is so much better on the Alpine than the Kenwood I tried before. I'm assuming that's due to the settings out of the box, but I liked that I didn't have to tune the Alpine. One of my biggest worries of switching is the sound quality of this Dasaita unit, but hopefully I can tune it well enough. I've never really been good at that.

Can you post a link? Also, what else did you need to buy with the unit?

This is the listing. I'm not sure what else you need yet. I think one item I'm also getting is the GPS SMA adapter that's linked on the first page. You'll also want a mounting kit like the metra that's linked here. I have a new scosche mounting kit sitting around that I may try...or the same one I used on my Halo9. Might just need to mod them a bit.

I have no idea how to tune a HU beyond it's controls I can access easily, i.e. Treble, Bass, and Mid-range, etc.
I'm more concerned about the amp tune at the present moment. Likely going to bridge the KTA-450 and run the bumped power out to my COs in the door panels, dial things back a bit, then just play with the controls til I make Memphis 6x9s thump ever so slightly, and bring the tweets away from their occasional tinny sound.

Anybody use this unit with polarized sunglasses? If so, is the screen still visible?

It does. Just not under the specific TPMS app. You can see the TPMS sensors under the Vehicle App and TPMS section.

Just realized this morning after pulling the film off the screen that it is not good for polarized sunglasses.

Anyone with the CarPlay dongle have issues with music skipping after installing iOS 13? I certainly have. Did not occur prior to the update.

Define skipping? On occasion I have it cutting out, if I go back out of CarPlay into the home screen of Android it stops then I just go back into CarPlay. Did this on 12 and on 13 Beta3 which I am still running

More like a relentless sub-second cutting out. Perhaps just a coincidence iOS 13 released today? Dunno, I'll test with your solution tomorrow. Thanks!

Anyone who is not running CarPlay having to toggle on/off tethering every time they restart the unit?

Also, I wish the CarPlay dongle somehow made switching back to Android easier. Once you plug that thing in it does not allow you to do anything outside of CarPlay without constant pop-ups trying to re-launch.

I can switch back no issues and CarPlay still runs in background
