    Yeah, I was a daddys girl. Definitely wasn't ready to lose him when I did. I still look in the mail for a birthday card every year until I remember I'm not getting one. I still have my mom though luckily.

    Yeah, we never are ready for that. I'm accustomed to not being around him most of the time because I moved out of the house long ago, but coming home and standing in the garage without him will never be not hard.

    Sucks, I was angry with him for a few year's and lost time with him. We did reconnect thankfully and talked a lot after but it wasn't not long enough. He did know I loved him I think....

    I think that's how it goes. At some point we all seem to fall out with our parents to some degree, and then rebuild the relationship as an adult. Mine was definitely on the upswing when he passed, fortunately.

    If you think he probably knew that you loved him, then he definitely knew. We're always hard on ourselves in that regard.
