Where are your GPS units are mounted

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 and I am having the hardest time trying to figure out where to mount this thing . If anyone has any pics of where your GPS is mounted, I would love to see them. Thanks!!!!!

 

I've got VZ navigator on my phone- I gotta get REALLY lost before I pull it out.

 

I use the VZ too..

 

I mount mine on the left side right above the registration stickers.

 

I have garmin nuvi 360 I like because is not to big and have MP3 AND BLue thoot I want to know how the upper man intal that on the stereo

 

I have the same Garmin and that's the ideal location. How did you attach it there??? Do you have a pic of the attachment?

I don't think you'll get better than Wormhole's idea.

 

I just have a TomTom but the majority of the time it's "mounted" in my glove box. When I do need it I just put it up in the middle (bottom) of the windshield. I generally only travel a couple of times a month and I generally know where I am going. During race season is another story though. I end up in every unknown town in WV, KY, and OH.

 

I have a TomTom and it stays stuck on my windshield. I use it for a heads up display. I think the speed is more accurate on the TomTom than my speedometer.

 

I have the Magellen Roadmate 360 that came with a windshield suction mount. I positioned it at the lower center of the windshield so that the unit mounting point is just above the middle vents (you can see the mount between the steering wheel)

 

I have a Garmin Nuvi, can't recall the model number now. I use one of those bean-bag mounts and simply set it on top of the dash in the middle. I'll move it back and forth between my various vehicles. Works great in the Taco in that location, doesn't slide around like it does on the sloped dash of some other cars/trucks, and is easily portable.

I have my Garmin Nuvi mounted to the bottom left of my windshield. It works great there, and is out of my way. Tried it in the center, and it obstructed my view.

 

Have two, one mounted on window the other is a carry everywhere.
Have topo on both, and the portable I use for hunting.

 

nice wormhole. that's exactly where i am going to put mine but i want to angle it towards the drivers seat a few degrees. it's gonna have to be custom built but when i am done i'll post up the specs.

 

I used a small disc that just sticks on to the radio face plate above the cd player, drilled a small hole and hard wired power, external mic, and (usa-spec) stero input. I had bought a spare radio from someone on this site just in case I ever want to sell the truck, I'll just replace the whole unit. I am thinking about cutting into the face plate and mounting the GPS nearly flush, put the moving arm behind the faceplate and have a little slot to where it barely clears. I'll post pics if/when I get around to that.
