In my case it's me being Factor V Leiden so prone to clotting and yeah, getting older :|

I plan on still riding, just not off road/pavement, might even go back to a road bike for a bit more comfort.

Yeah that's my concern, riding off road is not an if, but when, you fall!

Don't let the thought of taking these type of meds get you down !! . You're at the age now where meds such as those are a way of life . Don't let these meds also stop what you enjoy doing either

Back about 6 years ago my Primary Healthcare doctor at the VA put me on 15mg blood pressure meds . Because of my slightly elevated blood pressure was the reason for the meds . I thought back then it was the end of the world for me as I just couldnt believe I needed these meds

After talking with my Doctor and friends of mine over having to take BP meds they convinced me it's okay and to stop thinking I'm invincible . My Blood pressure is well below what it was and over these last few years I've not needed to increase the dosage . Even just a few days ago during my Pre OP for surgery my surgeon saw on my med records that I was on BP meds , it didn't even raise a concern for him

He actually said I'm very healthy for my age and I'll be 58yrs old next month

Well, at work the group leader that was walked out the other day is officially no longer an employee. Just for refusing a drug test.

I gave up dirt officially in 2000. Had a wierd situation where I didn't have a crash but the end result was a stretched hamstring. Now it's like a stretched out rubber band.
