I totally get that, it sounds like they were some really painful years.

On the other end of the spectrum I was "friends' with a lot of people who just always made me feel like shit and drug me down so my HS experience was also shitty. I would never go back

Ah, anti-inflammatory...no fun. But works well for joint pains

Yeah I remember having some friends like that at the school I ended up graduating from. High school years are rough man, I swear I felt like I was getting out of prison the day I graduated haha. Although I ended up spending twice the amount of time trying to get a bachelors degree than I spent in HS. But that's another long story

I think that's a typo, it has to be approved by the smog rep inspection.

In CO they only do a no CEL check and sniffer dyno test on OBD1 vehicles so I wouldn't sweat it here

I'd be afraid it has something to do with the 3.4l swap and maybe they didn't hook up all the emissions related stuff. Guess it wouldn't be that hard to do though. Hopefully they used a motor out of a newer vehicle otherwise it will never pass in CA

Would've finished the install all within an hour and a half or so.

Had to push it to today because I left my power tools in my storage; had to trim the speaker panel for the oversized magnet and basket on the new speakers.

Says it's a 2000 4runner. I thought you had to go to the CA referee after any swap so they can verify that all the stuff from the newer vehicle is in place and give you a sticker or something so the regular places can test it :notsure:

sounds like he hasn't done that yet

    You should know, right? :luvya:

lol I wouldn't know for sure I've never done an engine swap. I do know that you can only use an engine from the same model year or newer, can't use one that's older. At least as far as gasoline engines go, I think there are different rules for diesel ones.

The fact it doesn't pass now maybe means it did and it just has a CEL or something, could be anything really. Nice T4R though

Reminds me I need to get a flu shot...I've never gotten one before but with the wife being preggo it's more important that I do

That thread is about some dude on the TW FB page that's always stirring up crap, I don't think he has an account on here. I think him and @JKO1998 are real life friends though

If you had moved to my little school you've had been voted most popular. It was a small school and most of the same kids had all been together since 1st grade. They were all so tired of each other.
So anytime somebody new moved in, especially from out of state, they would instantly become the new star.

That sounds like Opposite Land...although it makes sense for a small town where everyone has known one another their whole lives. We were always in the suburbs of big cities where my dad's company was located

Yep. We had a few. So many of us wanted to learn their language -- whatever it was. We were culturally starved and we knew it.
