    yeah the main eyes with the military wrap are the ones that give me the most trouble. But, ever since I finally put the right silicone based grease in them they've been a lot better. No more clunks at least

    When I work on my truck more and more, sometimes I just want to rip shit out and go custom IE 3 link rear, SAS front etc lol but then I remember this is just a camping truck.

    Just a camping truck for now, but who knows what the future holds :stirthepot: haha..should've seen my plans for my truck when I first joined this site, keep it mostly stock with minimal lift for easy trails. This place definitely changed that

    I have greaseable bolts in the shackles and it helps some, but they're still creaky. Just the nature of the beast, now that my AC finally works I can drive with my windows up and ignore most of the sounds that used to irritate me haha.

    @Kwikvette I'm wondering now if the e-brake cable has something to do with the transmission difference auto vs manual...hm

    I'm not curious enough to dig deeper but that's my verdict lol.

    @GQ7227 you've got a manual IIRC.

    Post a pic of your rear diff, especially if you've got a locker!

    I don't think he does, his year was before the TRD package was offered but it was an add on option, so it's possible

    no locker, i recall pricing one out in 98 or 99 when the new trucks hit the lot and jealous they had that button but it was maybe $2500 to get that setup then iirc
    back then i was making big payments on my truck at the time, almost double payments some months when I had the mega overtime
    i just wanted the little button up there though it would not serve the purpose of keeping traction on the wet highway which woulda come in handy on several occasions!
