    I’ve heard of some other products similar but they do not work with antifreeze.

    I was reading on altitude and supercharger a. Is it true that every thousand feet is a loss of 0.5 psi of boost. So at 6k feet your lose 3?

    Yep, air gets thinner the higher you go which makes it harder to produce boost. Less power in general for any engine the higher elevation you are. On the plus side though, you're less likely to run lean at higher elevation and the air is generally cooler which helps overall

    Yup, close to that, the stock pulley puts out 4 pounds in Denver
    yup, that’s why we need a smaller pulley here in Denver to get more boost.

    The 2.2 pulley is a safe pulley to use here in Denver with out mods and should get you 6-7 pounds of boost

    I would be wary of adding anything to the coolant, a lot of times stuff like that will gunk up your radiator and cooling system long term.

    Ok, so here's my current plan then:

    Phase 1:
    Supercharger kit with stock pulley
    Gates belt
    1 step cooler spark plugs (Denso 5310 IK22 Iridium Power Plug)
    AFR (Innovate PSB-1) to start learning how the truck behaves before further upgrades/additional boost

    Phase 2:
    Auto trans shift kit
    Headers
    Cat-back exhaust
    Maybe new cat if it got messed up from previous owner burning coolant through it for unknown mileage - need to figure out how to test, passed strict CARB emissions, so unlikely to be bad.

    Phase 3:
    Gates belt
    Meth

    Phase 4:
    Smaller pulley

    Just talked to a buddy that had a 6 pound S/C and always read 4 PSI on his gauge in Denver.

    John, would 4 PSI be a nice boost in power relatively speaking?

    If I don't notice any power gain with 4 PSI, we’ll go smaller. But my buddy said 4 PSI was good/noticeable. I’ll report back.

    It will definitely be noticeable, there are some low boost supercharger kits that LCEngineering sells for other Toyota engines that only put up 4psi. It's a modest number but it will definitely add some pep to a stock engine.

    That’s all I need. I just want it to be kinda like my 1990 5.0 Mustang. Torque and power at the low RPMS. Handles like crap but goes fast in a straight line.

    Just beware that boost is a rabbit hole in it's own right...might feel satisfied with it at first but soon it'll be 'normal' and you're going to want more lol. It's fun though my wallet hates me

    I’m pretty much doing the same thing

    Beware-The headers are a pain

    I’ll let you know how the TransGo upgrade goes

    I plan on taking pics.

    Don’t forget a Transmission cooler!

    Stock pulley you can start with and you will feel the extra power.

    Then get a 2.2 if you want. As you probably will be ok with no ping or just a little.

    That should get you to 6 pounds
