Indeed it is. When I back in, I park with that offset so that if anyone does indeed to park way out in the 500 empty spaces zone right fucking next to me, both of our driver side doors will open into the same space with more clearance, assuming they pull in nose first like most.

It is highly likely that any other drivers who reverse into spots routinely would not park anyway near another vehicle, too.

Those are the probability odds I like.

@Pchop You'ld be surprised. Once one person does it in a parking lot, another comes along and tries it then you'll have almost a whole row of folks wanting to back it in. Much easier to pull out this way afterwards too, won't have to worry about running any one over when you need to leave quickly. Bonus is you can capture all the drive-by lookey loos on your dash cam.

Funny you mention that. This city has one of the largest crow rookeries in the nation. So there are a couple "problem spots" around town. But it is really cool watching hundreds of them in flights disperse for the day, then return back toward the river in the evening.
