    Hmm looks like someone was in here playing with these brake lines at one time and didnt clean up their mess...Also why is the back of my engine near the tranny wet? Has been there quite a long time best I can tell. Fluid levels are fine. IMG_20190920_174522581.jpg

    good, just been busy. On the tacoma side of life, been assembling parts to build out the Bussmann RTMR and also a separate panel in the back of the truck in the bed/cap. Much more involved than I initially thought it would be but I know I'll be happy with the end result. Just received the final parts for the enclosure (cap side) and going to start building it this weekend. Not looking forward to punching through the roof of the Leer to run the light pod wiring but after cutting into the fender for the snorkel, why the hell not, right?

    Still punching the OT clock? :thumbsup:

    Rear main seal? I have a valve cover leak and it runs down the side of the engine and collects to a drip at the bottom of the tranny but doesn't look as widespread as yours does in the picture.

    Eh. Truck only has 83k on it, wouldnt that be extremely early for a rear main? Whatever it is, its gonna wait until I see drips on the ground. If that ever happens. I can check the valve covers later next time Im under the hood.

    Actually lower mileage cars over that amount of time are more prone to rear main leaks than high mileage cars

    Makes sense, seals dry out over time. This isnt gonna be my forever truck so I doubt Ill be the owner who gets to deal with it. Unless I need a clutch anytime soon.
