Back when I was relatively new around here, there was a thread that was what today would be called a really nice dumpster fire.

A mod posted something along the lines of "ban everyone in this thread".

It reminded me of something from the movie Apocalypse Now, "drop the bomb, exterminate them all", and I replied to the mods post with that picture.

The thread completely disappeared a minute or two later.

It's been my avatar ever since.

It was a great movie imo, and the facepalm does mirror my intentions some of the time, lol.

I managed to catch my fish after baiting the lake with creamed corn.

You can catch a lot more than catfish if you're chumming with that!

 

It was Rudy's, their only good side dish. Had a couple of local ladies begging for some, but I had my mind set on one fish and one fish only.

 

They sent me a bottle of sause on my last deployment. I had everyone on my crew sign it, and I brought it back empty. It got confiscated in Baltimore.
