My dominoe partner had to split this afternoon. Got word her grandfather was put in hospice after surgery. All medical support removed. Doesn’t look good. I met him once in past 19 years but he was cool. I’m holding down fort

Erh well you did get them mixed up, I said ruffled grouses :p That red eye patch is the first indicator of a male spruce grouse. After the first year they taste like pine needles because come winter they eat spruce needles. They are called spruce grouse for a reason. Marinating in buttermilk helps kill the spruce taste. Or you could just drink Gin when you eat them LOL. They are normally found in the really far North and the area I hunt has them. They appear to moving South despite global warming..

Red and grey phase ruffs. And a spruce. Grouse. In the middle.

It is a female spruce grouse, no red eye patch. There are even more species of grouse, blues, sage grouse once you hit the sage brush sea West of the Missouri river, sharptails (AKA sharpies) and several others. And that is just in North America.

Hang in there Kevin and good luck. Yes once it lands with hospice it will almost never look good. But hospice is a better place than in a sterile hospital IMO.

Got that right. Most hospitals are places to get fixed. Not to heal.

Yes! I saw them back when they opened for Rush and then recently when they headlined. Oh, about a year and a half ago.

    Evenin' All!

What a week. The new guy at work is pretty good.

Now we'll have to see about the kid who's been there for 3 months.
