Nope happens all the time no matter what. Did not occur before upgrade. Might have to try another unit. Bummer. Constant skipping like a scratched disc, as others have pointed out.

I've seen some posts in XDA where Qi charging can cause some interference if phone gets hot. I'll test that this weekend. Not tried the zlink app.

Is the zlink app needed to use CarPlay on this unit?

Nope. Nada. Time for a replacement, or at least a firmware update.

It’s not needed you could use a dongle to add CarPlay. Zlink is a built in CarPlay app.

    A bunch of smalls
I contacted their eBay store to make sure that I ordered the correct parts to make Apple CarPlay work and I received the response below. Looks like you can order a different processor that they’ll install which supports CarPlay without a dongle...

You can order this chip to let Apple CarPlay to work.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/264415980776
Can you kindly send me your car dash broad photo to check, please? :)
From the dash board photo, i can confirm whether if our device fit with your car.
If you have the power cable photos for factory radio, you can share us to check.

Your car has factory camera or amp? If your car have them, you maybe need to order the canbus adapter to support them if you need.

    MAX6: Android 9.0 : 4g ram, 64g rom, 6 core(Dual Cortex-A72 1.8G CPU+Quad Cortex-A53 1.5G CPU), px6 chip. It will 2 to 3 times faster than px5. It has built in dsp, 15band EQ.

It has tda7850 chip, and powerful px chip, many people enjoy the speed, and you can enjoy the service for the software update in the xda forum. :)
You will get the better aftersale service than other store.

    Best regards,
    Iris

Dongle I believe. If you go to Settings in Autokit app and scroll down, there are two separate software updates, the app itself and the "Box Update", which I assume to be firmware (but not 100% on that). The app version was current, but the "Box Update" offered a fix for "iOS 13 upgrade stutter". Sounded familar. I updated via the stereo WiFi, reconnected the phone, and stutter was gone.
