Focal ISC 165 and ISS 165 front and rear speakers

The rear say they do not fit but chatted with them and its just really close. Works great.

Did you have to get special adapters or did everything come with? Those are the Focals I have been eyeing.

I just did the door speakers with the Kickers from Crutchfield, was about $160 for both sets including brackets and adapters. Toyota should be embarrassed to put those shit factory speakers in a vehicle. Subaru tweeters are on the way.

Came with everything you need. You do need to crimp or solder the adapters for the tweeters but aside from that is was pretty plug and play. The mount kit they give you from crutchfield has everything.

I did go back and order some dynomat which I added to the doors. That helped big time. They are not the heaviest of bass speakers but pretty solid for the price point.

Inhad stock HU and aftermarket speakers. I was SO DISAPPOINTED until I got the kicker key amp. Now it rocks.

yah aftermarket speakers are one step but until you swap HU or at least add some real amps you won't get a huge change.

It was nice with the focals not not crazy. new HU on order, ill add an amp eventually too. these speakers want more than 5w.

Why bother with a new head unit? I kept stock to minimize break-ins, save $400 and it sounds great

Just want other features and better sound. I’ve been running OEM forever. Upgraded to better OEM etc. sounds not horrible. It could be better and want to try out some other options. I know about break ins. Put off buying a new stereo in any of my cars for over a decade after the last major stereo setup was stolen.

I got the Subaru tweeters and the Kicker 46CSC6934 6"x9" front speakers, so far. Sound is "night & day."

Do you have to pry off the door panels or just the speaker cover. And can you run and amp to the stock had unit

You will have to take off the door panels to replace the speakers. Shouldn't be a big project. Not sure about the amp.

Why are people spending $94 on junk OEM Subaru tweeters made by kicker. Just spend a couple more dollars and get yourself a decent component set. Even seen one guy who spent the money on JL speakers to pair with Subaru tweeters. What an idiot

You could also get a DSP (digital signal processor) that strips factory EQ off the signal and allows better control downstream and keep your head unit.
