When I was a much younger lad I worked at a lumberyard. Never will forget a guy coming in and buying 20 pieces of 12” hardboard lap siding. When he drove around to load it he was driving a VW bug. Well the siding was 16’ long and limber so the guy wanted us to put it over the top of the car and he was going to tie it to both bumper. He was to cheap to buy some rope so he just used the twine we had for free. As you went out of the parking lot you were on a busy highway. He pulled out and on to the highway, the twine broke, the siding slid off the passenger side taking the mirror off on its way to the ground. He pulled off gathered up his siding then walked back to the guard shack for more twine!

Myself and a colleague loaded an unassembled wooden playground set onto the roof of a Fiero when I worked at Wal-Marx. It was similar to this one:

I don't know if it ended well.

I always liked when someone came in and bought a water closet (toilet). I would always carry the tank out first, open the box up, look in to make sure it wasn’t broken and let the customer look also. I would close the box back up and about 50% of the time the customer would say “Is that it” as they closed the trunk lid. I always wanted to say “Have you been shitting in your tank? No wonder you need a new one it’s probably full!” But I never did.

They think any white porcelain toilet is good. I always said a Yugo is good , you want one? Or wished I could get 20-30 years out of a set of tires!

That made me LOL for real.

First car I bought with my own money was a beat-up '63 Beetle.
Pink with flower decals. It was really cheap. :notsure:
A lot of weed was smoked in that bug.

I got a purple gremlin for free when I was in auto school. Me and roommate took turns driving it in dumpster.
    Good times.

I restored a ‘66 Beetle about 25 years ago. Then someone pulled out a pile of cash one day to relive their high school days and I made it theirs. :D
