Bilstein 5100 to soften Sport?

    Yes. If you do this, please report back, because that was my line of thinking exactly. I'm wary of removing it as my commute is primarily highway.

    Many of us remove the sway bar, it’s not terrible and the truck drives fine. You get used to it after a while and drive within the precieved limits.

    What was Toyota's reasoning behind using stiffer suspension for the Sport? Just for better handling? I sought one out thinking the sport would have better on-road suspension than the offroad but it seems like it's the opposite.

    I understand. I’m not saying the car won’t work without it. I’m saying that it serves a purpose of preventing body roll and in an emergency situation (like avoiding a sudden obstacle) could be very critical.

    Personally I would have zero issues removing for off roading, but wouldn’t remove on a daily driver.

    Well... it was a lot more fun in the corners before I swapped in the OR suspension. ;)

    It sure did rattle my teeth though, so I see where you're coming from.

    It’s literally a sport tuned (tight) suspension. Better for racing, high speed cornering and maneuvering. But rough (for some) on bumps. It’s funny because I chose the sport over the OR to get the suspension.

    It does handle well on smooth roads, but any uneven bumps, potholes, or rounded driveway curbs tosses the cab side to side. With the SBD, on and off road is pretty epic, IMHO.

    I just want to note that I had a couple heavy swerves and was pleased with the handling. Nothing freaky. That said, I do drive the Taco a bit slower than I have in any car or bike, mainly for MPGs, except in corners where I do like to explore the limits.

    Once I really hustled it at well over the speed limit to get my daughters to an appointment. I swear that the whole package came into its own. Felt good and planted.

    In the end, it could all be in my head, but I do know my wife hated getting in and out of our driveway with the SB. No complaints since the SBD. I tried going back about 20k ago and only lasted a couple drives.

    I believe the offroad is the only model with the thinner sway bar. Not 100% certain of that though.

    I’m running them up front with stock coils & Dobinsons in the rear. Rides pretty darn good

    im somehow now leaning towards dobinsons shocks. Did they help with the tail bouncing? Front Sport doesn’t seem that stiff. Just the rear. I might do the rear first and front after trying out dobsons or ome
