Yeah I've thought about buying an OEM one on eBay and having it resurfaced to safe some money. Hard to spend almost as much on a flywheel as I bought the truck for but I also like doing things right the first time.

Back up camera; went ahead and installed new 6x8 speakers as well as a double din head unit.

Looking to utilize the back up camera feature, since I've got a tiregate and all, and looking for feedback on your own camera as well as what you used.

Too many have a crazy fisheye...

I've seen that one guy's build on here with the 1st gen w/ a 3rd gen tailgate, I'm impressed with the work but I really don't think it looks good on our trucks.

Lol...I have a metal tirecarrier in lieu of a tailgate.

Oh shit, didn't see you there.

    Must be the camo...

he messed up in my opinoin.. the body line is up to high. if he had made it line up with the bottom of the tail light it would of looked 10x better.

but i was just talking about the handle. its probably what im going to try and do on the taco.

Ah I see, yeah but @Kwikvette has the swing out tail gate like I do so that wouldn't work on our application.

Yeah the body line on the bottom of that one build was off, but it was cool he got it to fit pretty much perfectly elsewhere. But in general that tail gate just looks too modern for the more utilitarian look of 1st gens IMO

It was $400 but I have a bit under $1500 into it now. Some of that is unnecessary like painting the bed and buying a weld your own bumper for it.

I'll probably stick with a marlin flywheel if I can't find another OEM one to resurface.

marlins good stuff too. Heavier flywheel is what i'd be looking into if your offroad alot.. makes it a little easier to get movin
