    It was kind of surprising, coming from Germany. I showed up as an E4 with a combat patch and they start spouting off all these damn rules. I enjoyed Germany a hell of a lot more.

    It's because people go full fuckin retard in Korea. No one's married and soju is literally cheaper than water. Only thing I didn't like was the curfew, never had one growing up until I was a 26 yr old SSgt, ridiculous.

    Father-in-law was a career Marine, retired as a major. Spent 12 months in country in Vietnam.

    My dad was LRP in the MACV SOG in Vietnam. My old man served 18 months in country.

    My father in law has conceded that the Army LRPs were the hardest units in Vietnam.

    My dad has conceded that while he has nothing but respect for all branches of the service, he spent a lot of time in Vietnam pulling Marines out of stupid situations they should have never been involved in. He was active in the Khe Sahn sector, and areas of Cambodia adjacent to it where his small team saved a lot of Marine patrols that the Khe Sahn firebase would refuse to extract.
