    Just got home. Still gotta pack. Wife gets home around 8pm. Wouldn't leave until 9 maybe 930 at best. About 11pm arrival. Is it worth it?? Lets get a vote. Come in that late or wait till the morning.

    It's 56 degrees with not a sole in sight at the Fordyce Creek trailhead. I'll miss hanging out with you guys but I'm pretty sure this trip will be worth it. lol

    @BLKTRUCK Oscar as well as trail leaders that may see this, something to think about as far as trail frequencies for either now or next time...

    MURS comprises the following five frequencies:

    ch1 = 151.820 MHz
    ch2 = 151.880 MHz
    ch3 = 151.940 MHz
    ch4 = 154.570 MHz
    ch5 = 154.600 MHz

    Anyways, I HIGHLY DOUBT there will be nearly the traffic use for these sets of frequencies as they are VERY SPECIFIC with how they are to be used. In other words, you won't be hearing the Pol/Fi dept using these due to the output power, blah blah blah. What I was hearing last year, from time to time, were what sounded like fire disp type traffic when using the "weatherman" channels??? So anyways, without going into my typical long wall of explanations here :rofl:, again, something to think about as it is unlikely departments like that would NOT be allowed to use these sets of frequencies due to output power limitations for these frequencies as well as any other commercial use.

    Think of these frequency sets as, "CB frequencies", but for the VHF band. :thumbsup:

    Are there guidelines and limitations to these for use??? The answer is a, YES!!! But nobody seems to be following the gubment rules anyways... :rolleyes::rofl::rofl::rofl::facepalm:
