Couldn’t find any information regarding 2x4 on this so here it goes.
I have a 2x4 sr5 with 265 ko2s I noticed that the mpg suffered close to 2 mpg since the upgrade and there is a loss of power. I plan on doing a few more upgrades in the future such as bumper and 2” lift.

Is the regearing any different with a 2x4 vs a 4x4.

Are the gears any different in size from the 4x4

I see the cost is roughly 2k for a 4x4 any difference with the 2x4

One less differential, probably alot cheaper. I doubt the rear diff is any different.

    I suggest trying Ovtuned.com first.

I was looking at that just like the idea of the physical regearing rather then just reprogram the cpu. I have that as an option just weighing all the choices

The tune is pretty impressive! If your not going to 315/35s I’d honestly start there. Cheaper and easier.... if it doesn’t work out and you still feel a need to regear you’ll already have to tune as well which could help!

I will probably start there I’m just looking down the road cause I plan on adding some weight to it. I would rather get the mechanics out of the way,
But didn’t know I had to get tuned with regear thanks for the info.

You don’t have too.... but the weight your adding probably won’t warrant a regear.
