3:30 to 4:00 is a continuous stream from a Dillon Aero M134D, which fires at 3000 RPM. So that was 1,500 rounds of 7.62 tracer looking like a laser beam. If ever there was an "America, Fuck Yeah!" moment, that was it.

Hah. Did the same thing, scrubbed a few times to get the length of that burst. Das a lotta lead heading down range. :spending:

Funny that the rest of the range seems to hold fire to watch the laser show.

    Alright fellas,

I’ve got a question for northwest RTT owners...

How are you guys drying your tents after outings?

We’re in a unique area where 50-70% of our weekends involve camping in the rain (especially this time of year)

Is a RTT still worth it all knowing that during just about every outing it will be getting hit with rain? And therefore will require time to dry upon arriving home...

And on that note, what kind of set ups do you all run regarding fanning out/ drying your roof top tents?

They dry out fairly fast if you have a dry place to open them up, I've parked in a buddy's shop and had it dry in less than an hour. I've also gone to one of those pay to powerwash stations and opened it up there just because there was room under cover. Box fan or two running inside or a leaf blower can be your best friend.

This is a good Q. After I got soaked on our Sept. trail run and overnight on 9/14, I had to leave my RTT setup for ~3-4 days when I got home. It rained for the first 2 days after I got back, but it's much better than leaving the tent closed and not breathing, which leads to mold/ mildew. If you have a large overland, huge garage or a buddy with a shop, it's ideal. I am an avid backpacker and have a couple ground tents, and man is it easier to clean them. RTT has it's benefits, much much warmer since you don't get the ground sucking head from your body and air. I donno. My truck came with one, if it didn't I would never buy one.

I have mine mounted on some cross bars on my ARE shell. I built a lift on the garage ceiling using two sets of kayak/bike storage lifts. I will take it off the truck and then lower it back down on some saw horses or something stable. Let it air out for a day or so, I use a box fan when needed. The key is obviously you’ll need some type of space to open the tent.

If my truck fit in my garage, this is 110% what I would do for removal/ storage. Super smart.

Super random.... But did anyone come across a fork with a blue handle? I'm missing one from my set was wondering if it got stowed away by accident since I had them out for everyone to use.

depends on your experience wheeling. I got a thrill from it. More seasoned folks seemed to think it was pretty mundane. I think at least someone did it in a stock rig but man I would want skid plates at least. 3 in lift made it much easier. You'd really need to be careful without a lift and without skid plates.

yeah, starting to get worried. hasn't been on this site since friday per his profile. I'm not sure if I can make it out there (Gallagher) this week, but I'm tempted to call the nearest ranger station today. I don't want to trigger a SAR response because I don't even know for sure if he's up there...

I did it in a stock TuRD OR with sliders. Fun trail, won't make you need a change of pants but definitely keeps things interesting!

Yeah. He didn't mention another locale, but didn't quite confirm he'd be there for sure. Hrmmm.

I mean, I'm two hours out from Roslyn, but I'm willing to head up there with someone if it gets to that level of concern. He's probably up there roasting some mellows with the 'Squatch.
