Dealer put in regular oil instead of my synthetic

After purchase in 2014 of my Tacoma V6 TRD, I switched to Mobil One synthetic which I have used for the duration. Yesterday, the dealer put in regular oil instead of my synthetic. I caught the mistake immediately upon delivery of the truck from service because my box of synthetic was unopened and unused. They immediately did another oil change with my synthetic, trying to drain as much of the mistake oil out. I do not think they replaced the oil filter again.

Online and Mobile One says it does not matter if you switch back and forth between conventional and synthetic as long as both are high grade. I have been under the assumption for 30 years not to switch back to conventional after going synthetic.

Wondering what fellow Tacoma owners think about my situation. Thank you in advance.

I ran half synthetic and half conventional oil in a 22RE for years. Still running strong 28 years later when the truck was totaled.

 

Sell it! It’s gonna break down. I’ll take it for 500 now. Lol. Jk as long as engine has oil it’s fine. Plus they drained and refilled it with your mobile 1...

 

Your fine it's like you got a free oil flush. They rinsed it out for you, then put your good stuff In. You actually made out.

If they started the truck with the regular oil I'd make them replace the motor. Who knows what kind of damage they caused.
