Anyone interested I now how 38 of 50 pair of 1" spacers finish machined. Will have all polished and ready to sell this weekend.

 

UPDATE 9/19/2019. All 50 pair are now finish machined. Tomorrow I will begin polishing them to be available Saturday 9/21/2019

I find the seats pretty comfortable, but I can't see over the hood while offroading. Does this help with that?

 

While it does provide a slightly better view over the hood, I think for off roading, your money would be best spent on a front view camera. Either a grille mounted camera or one mounted in the factory go-pro location, next to the rear view mirror, would give you a much better forward view. I realize this is a lost sale but why mod your seat if you are comfortable. My truck is rear wheel drive. If I wanted to go 4 wheeling with a lot of obstacles I would want the fullest view possible and cameras are very inexpensive. I do appreciate the interest but believe you are looking at the wrong mod for your needs.

It's not all about the money. I think most of us on TW are here to help or offer advice. I would get no pleasure in telling a lie to make a sale. Another benefit with a camera is having videos to watch from those wild off road adventures. There are tons of posts to read about the best camera choices. Good luck.

 

Made a 1/2" pair for a member. They look so tiny next to the 1".

 

Gearing up for my next run of seat spacers. Considering adding 3/4", and continuing the 1", in case any taller drivers may be interested.

 

Down to the last 2 pair of 1" spacers from the last run of 50 pair. Taking a break from manufacturing for a little while. Trying to work on some new prototype ideas as well as a quick run to the family place in Melbourne, Florida. I have ordered materials for 70 pair of 1" and 30 pair of 3/4" seat spacers. Probably will not have more available until late October or early November. Thanks to all the purchases on TW, other forums, ebay and craigslist for nearly 300 pair sold. Will post when more are nearing completion.

50 pair of 1" and 30 pair of 3/4" nearly complete. They will be finished and available when I return from Florida next week around 11/5 or 11/6.

 

Installed 1/2" spacer last weekend, they are just right.

 

I’ll take the next 2 pairs of 1” spacers.

 

Getting close to finishing 3/4" and 1" spacers. Gotta go to Florida tomorrow morning. Will start finishing them up when I get back mid-week next week.

 

3/4" and 1" spacers are now available. Want members to get theirs at the discounted price before I post them on ebay. They are $2 more per pair on ebay plus you now pay taxes on ebay purchases.

I thought mine were a little too big (1 inch ones) so I decided to take mine out for a week to see how it would be without them. Wow my back killed for those days, these truly do help, but I wonder if the .75s would suit me better

 

I cannot answer that with any certainty. You can buy a pair of the .75 and try them. Whatever size suits you best you can mail the other pair, provided they are in good shape with the bolts, back to me and I will refund the original price paid for them. That would cost you the $7.90 in shipping with a small Priority mail package. That is the best I can offer you. It would be more cost effective for you to try to sell the extra pair on craigslist where you pay no fees. That is up to you. Another option would be, if you know a machinist, get him to mill .25" off the bottom of yours. Doing that you would be stuck with the shorter height.
