I'd drive one sure, but wouldn't want to deal with the long term maintenance on one. One expensive vehicle hobby is enough for me, next daily car is gonna be a Civic or Corolla or something uber simple and reliable.

Unless I win the lottery, that would open up the possibilities.

Amen Bro. I made my share of stripped JIS screw mistakes with Nissans early on. I think the Toyota gods appreciate me having my shit together on this go around. :)

I had no idea JIS was even a thing until I came across it on here, then it clicked why I was always stripping screw heads

Doesn't Dodge do crazy incentives on new Rams? If you aren't against Dodge that is lol. At least you'd get a warranty on a new one

Offer me better than $40/hr or equivalent in salary and I'd consider it...the growth potential is appealing though. Not a whole lot more of that where I'm at which kind of sucks. Going on my 5th year there

Before I understood about JIS, and after painfully getting them off, I would covert them to socket head cap screws. The TPS on my 3.4L is a walk in the park to change compared to this one in the picture. The TPS like the one in this picture are a little more work to get setup because of the open channel adjustments on each side.

Hmm, I wonder if its for layering images together to get super high def ones, among other things you can do via that technique. Or might just be 3 different kinds of lenses.

One scared the hell out of me on Interstate 40 one day. So one day I'm driving way too fast in a car that easily cruises at 120+ MPH. I'm not saying what I was driving or the speed. So a dude in red Raptor thinks I'm trying to race -- which I wasn't. He winds that thing up and passes me doing somewhere between 125 and 130 MPH..

Clearly he had the governor on that truck disabled. So we get off on the same two lane exit and comes to a stop before he heads north on HWY 65. It looked to me like it was lifted. It had these Nascar looking wheels on it. He had it setup for something fast.

The aerodynamics of that truck are not able to keep up with the power and speed that it is capable of producing. I know they can be made to be fast if someone does a tune and disables the governor. To me, its a death chariot looking for place to happen.

Do you really need to drive a pickup over 120 MPH?

My truck feels sketchy as hell above 80mph especially if there's a crosswind, no way I'd push it that fast

I don’t even think the 99 can go 80 anymore..

The 02 will do it just fine though

No one new will start at 40$ more like 24. But even at my 27 i make 1200 a week after taxes. And i can grow from 27 to like 70

yeah the OT and growth potential is the big appeal of the trade industry. But I can't live off of $1200/week after taxes, that's the cost of my half of rent alone lol. If I made the jump to a trade profession I would have to do it with more saved up so I could get by until the pay got better.

Oh my bad I thought you said $1200 every two weeks. I'm on a bi-weekly pay system so that's how I think about it. $1200 per 1 week after taxes is really good

I'm not gonna say how much I make because it's rude to talk in detail about such things :luvya: but for your age you're definitely doing very well for yourself.
