Help.....Radio and Interor lights not working

Yesterday I was cleaning my truck and noticed that one of my LED from my elimination package under the glove box was not working right. When I look to see what was wrong with it, it looked like the light was barley hanging by a thread. I went to try to fix it, it sparked and the lights went out. My fist thought was it blew a fuse but I check all the fuses that relate to lights and they are all fine. Then this morning I went to go to the store and notice my radio wont turn on now. WTF! Anyone experience this before I made an appointment with the dealership but wanted to try to figure it out myself.

 

It’s a blow fuse check again you missed it.

Might wanna check your blinker fluid.

 

I checked every fuse. I don’t think it’s is a fuse unless I missed one.

 

Did you use a meter or just visual?

 

Has to be a fuse or relay.

 

Are there fuses anywhere else besides under the hood?

 

Holy shit, you just blew my mind.

 

Yes inside the truck, under the driver’s side dash.

 

I’m going to just wait until Monday and take it it. I think it might be a relay because my done light just stay on all the time unless I manually turn them off.

 

Dome circuit is negative trigger...make sure the switch on the dome light is all the way to the drivers side if not the light will stay on.

 

It was in the middle setting for doors. There is something wrong if the radio and elimination lights won’t work.

 

You may have fried the circuit board in the overhead console

 

I looked into it a little more and I think it’s the BCM that went bad. Hopefully it will be cover under the warranty.

 

So took it in and it looks like the light shorted out the wiring harness. Thank god it was covered by warranty. They said the harness is 7k? Don’t know it that’s true or not?

 

What is the elimination package under the glove box?
My truck is a 2016 and I don’t have any type of lights under my glove box.
Any pics of these elimination LED lights?
