What do you do with your ipod cables?

So I'm installing my new kenwood single din on monday and it comes with an iPod hookup. I've seen people run the ipod cable to the glove box then just control it from the head unit, but I'm gonna be using my iPhone so putting it in the glove box isn't practical. How's everyone routing their cables so that they're accessible but tucked away and not just laying around.

 

Run the wire behind your steering wheel column and have the cord come through that little storage space by your left knee....Nicely tucked away and out of sight/out of mind

I ran my cables underneath the center console. I cut a hole in the bottom of the console for the cable to come up into the center console. My ipod sits in my center console.

Center console was the easiest for me and I can tuck my iPod away behind the little net.

 

I'm at work now till midnight so I can't get a pict.

It's pretty easy. Just route the cable under the side of the console and put a hole in the bottom of the console and route it thru the hole. If I remember, there's a piece of felt at the bottom of the console. YOu just pick that out and there's bolts to remove the console.

 

i have mine running through the little cubby next to your right knee, i have all of the cords tucked in behind the headunit

Why not just run it to the glove box? Bluetooth the phone and run the music and video off the headunit?

 

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I could run it to the glove box but that would just be a pain in the ass to plug in every time I wanted to listen to music off the phone or plug it in to charge it. I'll probably try to run it to the center console.

 

i went to the center console. busted off the lower front tab that holds the little cargo net and ran the ipod cable in thru that. than sold the cargo net. i aslo have an auxillary wire that i can hook up my evo to, or any other thing else that uses a 3.5mm jack.

 

X2, I have not run mine yet, but this is where I am going to run it. Then you can keep your phone in the holder.

 

in small cubbyhole to lower right of steering column...works great and keeps it out of sight.

I was thinking the same thing I don't have that compartment thing.

My ipod stays in my glove box most of the time. Out of site out of mind for thieves.
