Really surprised, but pleased. Actually, still starting the truck, but it’s been awfully slow cranking lately. Thought for sure it was finished this morning, but did start, so I was a little proactive. Just thought I’d stir the pot a little and kind of poke the whiners on here.

It depends on how long it sat in the lot, the heat cycles etc.

Some last 2 months some last 10 years.

Mine lasted a little longer but not much, My wife's highlander battery was almost a year. I got the X2 from batteries plus and never looked back. They are a rebranded Northstar, too lazy to look through the replies to see if someone mentioned that.

    Yeah, sorry.

FYI, i think that i got about 6 years out of my original battery, and in Western NY, where it certainly gets tested. Seems like yours under performed.

I don’t think so. It gets wicked hot here in the summers and if I understand correctly, heat is tough on batteries. I’ve been driving for a long time, and I’ve never had an OEM battery last this long.

Yeah, my battery lasted a lot longer than I would have expected, went 6-7 yrs before I replaced it proactively before it really showed any struggle with starts.

Mine lasted 3.5 years but it lives in NV so no surprise there.

In MD our 2012 Forester lasted 7.5 years.
Our 2017 Forester lasted barely 2 years.

    (All OEM batteries here)

    It’s a crap shoot.

For non-OEM I assume three years max.
