I installed my camera over the weekend turned out great. Since here in Florida we don't have a front tag I installed the camera in the front bumper.

Sorry to ask a newbie question but how do you hook up the camera to the info screen. I ordered the Nakati license plate mount camera.

I just bought and installed the "Anytime Backup and Front Camera" - used two resources for info:
went great except for two things:
    • the front/rear selector switch does not fit in the open slot I had (the the left of the steering wheel) and I would have had to remove one of the switches on the right side of the steering wheel (below the radio) to make it fit well. I left in the not-fitting slot for now and I'll play with it this weekend to see if I can get it to fit by rigging something up. The first video shows how to remove one of the switches, but I didn't want to do that (but may...)
    • The camera was too wide to fit in the Taco '19 Sport cheese grater grill, I had to cut out a tiny bit of grill to get it to fit right below the front emblem where I wanted it. Can't really tell unless you look really closely. Pics...

OK, so here's an update on the front/rear selector switch issue from above. I used the switch free-space filler (just an empty plug filler where a switch would go) as a 'wrapper' around the smaller front/rear camera switch that comes with the Anytime front camera setup.

For those who might not know (I didn't until I started this project) the set of switches in the Tacoma are different sizes - slightly taller and wider switches are used on the bank of switches on the left side of the console (to the left of the steering wheel), while the switches on the right (under the radio) are slightly shorter and thinner.

The switch with the Anytime was designed to go in the shorter/thinner set, but I had no free spaces under the radio to I wanted to use the only open switch space which was of the taller/wider variety - the switch didn't fit. So I (painstakingly) cut out the middle of the switch filler, which you can push out from the back, and wrapped the shorter/thinner switch in it... worked great. Pics:

That’s for the great info. Can’t wait to get it on.

Car Solutions all day long from Amazon.
Plug in play. No added switch needed.

I agree that is the system I used along with the Nakati camera. I installed mine in the bumper were a plate would be Florida we don't have the front plate. I love that you use the factory mode switch and it comes on automatically when you go from park to drive.

TY! Damn that thing is slick. Much better than the "Anytime Camera" rig. Thanks again, ordering it for sure, well worth the $10 to ship to US from CAN.

It does come in handy. Plus, you can toggle from front to rear camera any time
