Got the tonnaue cover installed under the bed rack today! Took a lot of finesse but made it work! Great lockable storage now for the bed. It rolls up too so I can still use my bed.

 

Brother-in-law brought us back about a hundred pounds of wild caught Canadian Salmon! Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it...

Tires and LCA's ordered. Gunna take the truck in once i get the tires and have them fix the head leak. Gotta get the coilovers adjusted before then as well.

We did some dirt road exploring in Chambers county today. I found some possible places to check out earlier in the week by looking at google maps but the surprise was an abandoned cemetery. No idea on the history of the cemetery. The cemetery looked recently cleared and logs placed on the graves that had sunken in.



The logs in the background of this photo, 20-30 yards deep, are stacked on sunken graves. The closest church to this recently cleared cemetery was about 2 miles away.



This is the closest church pictured below. Known as New Harmony Presbyterian Church, boarded up. Monthly services are no longer held, obviously.
This church was constituted in 1838. Many pioneer settlers and their descendants are buried in the cemetery.

Our next destination was supposed to be Stephens Mill but it was a private property and we couldn't get any closer. This is the only picture I could capture.



Next stop this old wooden bridge. Still in service and friggin awesome. It spans the Norfolk Southern Line connecting Columbus GA and Birmingham AL. Pretty sweet photo op. No train though. I will have to go back when we have more time and wait on the train.

 

Back in town, I'd be down for Sunday where a stock 4wd can tag along
