Nice, where did you get the bumper? Last I heard All Pro was having issues but I really like their expo bumper.

Figure while I wait for my 3rd members to come in I mount up my dual pumps, overkill but why not. Still waiting for all the other parts to show up. Ordered pumps from AVS in Fresno, the kit they sell comes with a nice set of plasma cut brackets. I just had to make my own mounting tabs.20190921_112549.jpg 20190921_114053.jpg

These are the viair 444c dual pack, specs on viairs website says 0-200psi on a 2.5 gal tank is 2 min 30 sec. I'm gonna run a 3gal tank but regulate it at 120psi max. These pumps are 100% duty cycle at 100psi and 50% at 200psi.

Should be sorted out now, they were having issues last year during the Trail Gear merger with communication mostly but from what I hear now it's back to normal.

no never a factory option. but all the stampings are there. just some holes to be drilled mostly and you can have a manual double cab.

It’s very rare, only if the original owner custom orders it, i lost out on one when I was in the market for a truck. It was a 1st gen double cab v6 4x4 Manuel. The lady said her husband works at Toyota and ordered it like that. I was poor and only had a pre approve loan and somebody came with cash...still mad about it.

It was never able to be ordered from Toyota. Toyota doesn't custom make vehicles for people...you can 'order' a vehicle from them so long as its a package that is offered but you can't ask them to make you a manual trans truck in a trim that its not offered in.

If by some miracle they did do it for the person you're talking about, it would have been a big favor to that person on behalf of Toyota. Which they certainly aren't going to do for just anyone.

Plenty of people right now want a DCLB manual trans TRD OR but Toyota doesn't offer that in the US. You can't just place an order for one, they'll tell you to pound sand.

There are a few on here with manual double cab 1st gens but they are all auto --> manual swaps.

I wish they offered it back then, IMO it was their one big mistake with the 1st gens...not offering a DC manual option.

they will tell me to pound sand when i order custom color because the color choices now on certain models is less than desirable

As long as it's a color they currently make in a trim they offer it in, you can order it. Assuming were taking about a new truck.

If you try and order a body panel like a fender for your 1st gen, that comes unpainted. When I was looking for a new fender they (parts dept) offered to paint it for me but the price was ridiculous.

well i guess i can finally say i did something to the tacoma today! kind of.

preped the 4runner test engine for me to remove the cams and get the 3vz-fe cams in it. if all goes well should have 3vz-fe cams in it tomorrow. A t-belt and gaskets sometime during the week. then i have to figure out how im going to run it.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
