No more chrome bezel around the grill on the 2020s. The chrome bummer caps are replaced by color matching if you get the Technology Package.

Ok, thanks. I was looking at the specs and it mentions the chrome bezel on the OR. I asked because Canada does not follow the US when it comes to packaging. This is is actually the first time they offered a Premium package on an Off Road. There is no Tech package.

They sure are! I ordered one from Pickering Toyota (Durham region) just outside of the GTA if you're not familiar. The dealership said it should be sometime in early to mid october but they didn't give me a specific date just yet (they're going to get back to me soon). Nope, no chrome bezel around grill and bumper caps were color matched (hooray).

Was at Jackson’s TOYOTA in Barrie yesterday. They just got one DCSB Off Road in Cement that wasn’t PDI’ed yet. Wonder if it was the one a previous poster had ordered?

The Sales guy did let me sit in it to check out power seat positioning. The truck was the “base” off road model so no Premium package. It had no moonroof.

I’m 6’4” and with the back of power seat fully lowered and front raised under thighs a bit I can say it was an improvement over the 2019, more comfortable seating position... it’s not crazy better, but better. I could live with that setup for sure. My issue is I want a manual DCSB Sport and that only comes with a moonroof in Canada so I still need to sit in a truck with the power seat and a moonroof to see if there’s enough headroom. My guess is probably not, as I don’t think extra the 1/2” or so the seat lowers will be enough because the headliner of the moonroof is directly above where my head would be.

They have a Sport coming next week apparently so trucks are starting to arrive in Canada. I’ll report back for fellow tall guys once I’ve had a chance to sit a Sport with moonroof.

The new off road grille looks great. No chrome surround.

I took my old man with me on the test drive of a 2020 taco offroad premium (with the leather seats and moonroof) and he didn't complain about headroom, might be a bit different on the drivers side though... I certainly had tons of head room when I adjusted the seating height, though I am a mere 6' tall.

All good news! No chrome and I won't have to bother replacing it with a heritage grill.

My previous order (a DC OR without premium) was scheduled for the second week of October.
I bought mine in Ottawa at Tony Graham Toyota. Great to deal with btw.

Maybe we should start a separate thread for the Canadian 2020's

I decided to build an OR with what was available in my area. Any chance I can get this 40k or under OTD?

Also it’s weird how Canada is receiving Tacoma’s on their lots. There are none in my area yet

Possibly, after a few months. Probably going to be hard this early in the game.

I would do this. You're about an inch and a half taller than I am and sitting comfortably my head is about 1" off of the headliner by the sunroof. If I was 6'4", I couldn't make this truck work.

A few months like December to January? I'm hoping to get one before it snows down here.

I got a similarly specced one (ended up with 44.9k MSRP) and the invoice was ~42. I think you're going to have a tough time getting down to 40 OTD unless the 1500 cash back rolls over to the 2020s come 9/30. Even then, you'll be around 40 pretax, doubtful under.

Asking >15% off seems like a stretch without some economic implosion.

Here's a better view of the cloth interior. I'm glad I went for the leather.

No chance you'll get that much off this early, give it 6 months and you might have a shot.
