Not meaning to argue, but do you have an example of that variation in price?
I can see that as a valid point. 1/2 price of an item. Yes.

I buy pancake mix at the store. 4.98.
Kodiak Cakes Whole Wheat Honey Oat Flapjack/waffle Mix 24 Oz One Box
    Amazon price is 9.07 (currently).

In that example it was a Lund bed extender (the type that slides in the hitch). Another instance was the cheap Baofeng radios for double the price. It’s not uncommon in Alaska where businesses know if you don’t pay the jacked up price someone else will because they need whatever it is now and can’t wait a week or two for an online order to arrive.

My portable bleed kit is done. More peace of mind when I'm outdoors with the truck. Yes, I overcame my stubbornness and added a tourniquet. Not worried about building a scaled down backpacking version until I can backpack again.

RIP-off molle backing so I can grab this thing quick.

That looks really well done. What is the item on the front? A knife or cutter of some kind?

Nice @Seabass ! I’ve got a similar setup in my truck. Works great for a truck kit, and allows me to supplement my pack kit if necessary. Mine attaches onto the back of the headrest posts and rips away.

Just a red folding box cutter I had that matches the bag. Came in a set with like 4 colors. More there as a truck utility knife so I dont dull my good blades when opening Amazon boxes

My bleed kit consists of duct tape and whatever piece of absorbent material is handy. It works just fine. Yours is much nicer though. lol

For the last 10-15 years I have been the one to just sleep with a bundled up sweatshirt or jacket as a pillow.

Went to REI to snag a cheap camp pillow finally tonight before my trip tomorrow and I stumbled on the “Exped Mega Pillow”. This thing is amazing and packs down so tiny.... love all my other Exped stuff so I couldn’t say no!

I posted this in the guns and hunting sub forum but ive been buying cheap milsurp gear the past couple weeks. Got a brand new gortex suit and several alice packs with frames.
Also anyone have tips on cleaning used gear?

You are BAD. I did not need to look at those pillows. I lost 20 minutes on the interweb.

Thanks. Looks like ill take it apart soak and scrub it in a big tub. How uncomfortable are the alice packs compared to civilian packs? Ive always had civilian pack brands.

Exped has great customer service and great products. I'm looking at picking up one of the SynMat Duo pads here for the backpacking tent...

I love my synmat duo! Even when I’m truck camping, that’s what I use. It’s incredibly comfortable!

I got mine in an REI garage sale that looked like it hadn’t even been used and was still half off.

    Highly recommend buying!

Uncomfortable, heavy and all together a waste of money compared to what you could buy from the civilian market.

Thanks for the great review! I didn't even think about the back of the truck. Good idea!

Figures as much. At first i thought like it sounded like these packs werent that uncomfortable if fitted properly. No big deal i got them to play around with. After looking at the molle ruck closer and after trying to get it apart im finding its beat to shit. My understanding is the alice pack is compatable with the molle ii pack frame?
