    Drive to northern Maine.

See the trains, maybe the ice caves this time, and other fun side trips.

    Drive home.

should we start researching a southern/mid Maine landing spot? Or will the plan be to land more in the Moosehead area?

I definitely have a more realistic feel for covering ground with this group. I've also adjusted my place for my own trips, because having time for a "stop and see the windmills" is nice.

We also won't split the group at breakfast again without a better rally plan. I'm leaning towards more "choose your own adventure" options with common camping.

I think somewhere between Greene and Moosehead is a good target for Friday night. I really like staying on private land Friday so that we don't have to worry about sites being taken or needing a reservation for with weekend.
