I'm sure..I'm no fanboy. I'll keep my truck on the road for as long as I can. After that we'll see what's on the market.

My 2019 Taco is the first new vehicle that I have bought in 28 years so I have never really paid attention to mileage claims but I thought that there was independent 3rd party testing in lab conditions. This would mean that real world mileage might be different but at least it was a level playing field among the manufacturers due to third party involvement. I guess I was mistaken.

The long term on a Ranger should be great if it’s any thing like my brothers fusion. Spends sooo much time at the dealership for recalls he never even seems to get to drive it. Which will help not going insane driving it. When you finally get it back from the dealership it’s like getting a new vehicle every few months. :D:p

All this beef between Rangers and Tacoma’s is silly. You want a Ranger buy one be happy and go to Ranger forums. You want a Tacoma get a Tacoma be happy. I just laugh now with all this Ranger vs Tacoma fight. One company builds vehicles with reliability in mind which is why it hasn’t gotten into the turbo game yet. One company builds vehicles like iPhones and keeps pumping “the new thing” out as fast as they can while never really mastering anything. How can we know if the Tacoma or Ranger will last in the long run, its to early to tell but if I was a gambling man I would be putting my money on the company that is always #1 for reliability on every single list. I love the look of the Tacoma which is a huge reason I bought 1. I don’t hate the look of the Ranger but I don’t think it even compares to the Tacoma in looks or off-road capability. Buy what you like and enjoy it!

I am honestly glad Chevy and Ford are trying to make midsize trucks. Like some have said will push Toyota to up there game with competition. But biggest reason now we have more wheels in the bush! More trucks means hopefully more people willing to go on trail rides! All in all I love vehicles respect every company at least a little(minus fiat). I am just happy to be able to meet new cool people in the bush and either give them a pull out or they can give me one. Hope to see some Fords Chevys and even Jeep trucks out there!

I have....but what does that have to do with MPG and reliability, neither of which can be clarified by "driving one"

if you really did drive one you would of seen at 65 to 75 mph the rpms at @1800 to 2100 vrs Tacoma v6 2000 to 2400 (and shifting like a mofo ) the 2.3 is actually less stressed than the Toyota at cruising speed. Gas mileage is 24 on the ford but you go over 85 mph it will drop to 18.the 10 speed mates perfectly.

I owned an F-150 w/ 2.7 EcoBoost. No comparison to the Tacoma setup... it was so fast it was sick, the transmission didn't do any of the weird shifting like the Tacoma. Seriously nice.

Replaced a turbocharger before I hit 20k miles. And the drive shaft. Oh, and they rebuilt the rear differential. Twice. And did I mention the rear doors froze shut and wouldn't open in the winter? And Ford didn't have parts to fix this minor inconvenience? Oh yeah, and the stereo worked intermittently. But man was it huge inside.

    I own a Tacoma now.

My 2018 Tacoma V6 Auto TRD OR was 18MPG based on a 21.5 gallon tank with a distance of 378 miles as my norm. My 2019 Ranger Lariat Supercab (I won't do the math for all the cool kids here, you can do it yourself).. 18 gallon tank with a distance of 470 miles thus far...put that in your pipe of lies and smoke it. At the end of the day, I hope you have the same BIG FUKIN GRIN as I have behind my Rangers wheel when I drive it! I know, legendary resale value & reliablity are sexy, as sexy as that stamp and hummel collection you got going on.
