Yep. My old GTI was one of less than 1000. It's fun having rare vehicles like that because it's so out of the ordinary from every other box stock one out there people notice there is just something a little different and they have never seen before.

 

Not like our Tacomas where everyone has the same ole lights, same ole racks, same ole overlandy gear...

 

Where we are camping tonight they are having a Tearjerkers club meeting. Teardrop campers are everywhere. Some of them are pretty darn neat.

 

the wife and I have always wanted a teardrop... that would be heaven for us to go make friends and check out their campers.

 

that sounds like way more work than I can handle right now haha. I cant even find time to finish the railing on my deck that I ripped apart almost a year ago. that would be the dream though! something easy to pull and fun to use.

 

That tundra makes quite a bit easy to pull...

 

it still struggled to pull down a palm tree in my front yard haha. and she does tow like a champ. we just want something that will handle forest roads and things like that too. a full fledged camper would be the bees knees!

 

I feel you on that one. the wife wanted a shelf built for the kitchen and all I can manage is one joint glued up a day. wheres all the time going?

man, I cant wait for the cooler weather. these past few mornings have been glorious

 

Dang that things pretty sweet, theres so many different builders that its hard to make up your mind on one before another one catches your eye...

and be able to build a fire without sweating profusely.

 

we did a brisket and a butt right before the hurricane. man they were good. first ones in months.

 

That's all the wife asks for now. I ruined her.

There were a bunch of nice ones for sure. I took a few pics, but not much cause I didn't want to look like a creeper or anything.

This weekend helped us make a decision on our future camping plans. We've decided on a travel trailer over an overland type trailer build. Gonna sell the rack and RTT after Windrock this year -- or at least put it on the market then. @Jeffvt0508 said he might be interested in it, I think.

 

I did a thing.... now to 48v swap it, lift it and mud tire it.
