    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    The coyote is pretty awful on the price per horsepower scale. It's just so fragile and it costs so much to make power that can pretend to compete with LS/LT and even Hemis (though it's a closer match for those). I'll give Ford credit though, they made it almost exactly like Subaru in the engine bay, you can remove the thing lickity damn split.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    I don't mind the hydro lifters, they're flat tappet and they pump up super hard. Good to rev to 9k with upgraded springs. They only tick for a sec or two on cold starts. That's actually how I knew I overheated it when I first got it, it started ticking when the oil overheated and thinned out.
