Would only fit infants. Would be difficult to drive a truck equipped with a 6MT.

In 1983 I was about to go into the Air Force, we had a beater car and a beater pickup. My dad was adamant that we get a decent car, and said he’d help with the payments if we needed it. I let my wife pick out whatever she wanted, within reason. She chose an ‘84 Toyota pickup, it had three options, long bed, air conditioning, and a radio. It was $5999 brand new. She learned she was pregnant with our first son while I was in basic training. Then we spent 6 months in Colorado for tech school. Didn’t miss a single weekend in the mountains and that little pickup was fantastic.

My first assignment was at Elgin AFB in Florida. My son was born a couple month after we got there. The Toyota just didn’t work with a rear facing baby seat. This was a standard cab pickup. If I had ESP we would have kept it and found a way, 15 months at Elgin and we were sent to Germany.

So can I go to Canada and buy a Access Cab TRD Offroad WITH a 6MT and bring it back to the states? I live in a border state.

My 2001 Dodge Dakota (loved that truck, RIP) was an extended cab and had a solid row rear seat. I wish the Tacoma had that. I don't care about that middle console that holds the seat belts. Other than that, AC all the way! I'm no family-woman, no DC needed here!

I think you can with a used vehicle not as sure about new. There are companies (auto brokers??) that specialize in this sort of thing and also check with US Customs Dept. in advance.

Also, while I haven't done a option for option comparison, it does seem to a casual observation that with the US dollar worth about $1.30 in Canada, Tacos and some other vehicles are now cheaper in Canada than the USA.

Access Cabs aren’t dead and neither is the Single Cab, you just have to leave North America to find one. (Hilux that is)!F78D17A2-93E5-4BBD-9854-48987D85ABB7.jpg

My buddy at the dealer called this morning and said "Your truck is here". I said hang on a minute, I canceled that order on September 22. And he said I know. We screwed up.

Of course I made the mistake of going to see it.

The 2020 TRD Sport wheels certain look better than the 2016-2019 Sport wheels.

While wandering around the dealers lot today, waiting on warranty work, saw at least 20 double cabs and only 2 access cabs. that's not much of a showing.
