Ha ha, I pre-ordered one for my son. He is a big Halo fan. Started with Combat Evolved in PC and up to the latest one. That is fine with me as long as I see very good grades and he plays in designated times. Release is 9/14/10 right?

I like the story line very much, it could turn out tobe a good movie.

I played the shit out of the Beta, IMO Halo 3 was the worst halo besides ODST. Halo 1 is where its at.

ODST was indeed lacking. Lets see if they could deliver with Reach.

I've got mine pre-ordered, picking it up after class tomorrow. I loved the Beta, gameplay was great.. I've been looking forward to this game, forget MW2!

Hit me up w/ your gamertag if you want to play MP or CoOp,

IMO.. YES! Multiplayer is as awesome as it was in the Beta - the equipment, and a couple throwback levels from Halo2 add a lot to it. The campaign is definitely a lot more challenging.. you can't run through the levels holding down the trigger finger like you could as Master Chief.

    sounds like a good time.

the new matchmaking is SO much better.
instead of loading up one map and then voting to "veto" it and then your stuck with whatever loads next. On Reach you will have an option to vote on 3 different maps/game types or you can vote on "non of the above" and it will pick 3 more maps.

when spawning you can select what weapon class you want. and you can change it every time you die. each class has different weapons/ perks...i.e. jet pack, armor lock, hologram, sprint.

Firefight is really cool too. they took this from ODST. basically you start with wave 1 of bad guys, onve you kill them it goes to wave 2 and so on. each wave brings more and harder enemies.

It was going to be a movie but ended up turning into District 9.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1136608/

look at the aliens in it, they look very similar to elites.

When Guillermo del Toro left the running, Peter Jackson settled on the novice Neill Blomkamp for director. Blomkamp worked to exhaustion for five months preparing the project, which went as far as constructing props and costumes and producing short Halo-themed films as test footage. The project then collapsed. Jackson allowed Blomkamp a free reign in choosing a new project, which led to District 9 (2009). Although Blomkamp is still "creatively interested" in Halo, he does not wish to return to the project after working on it for so long and watching it collapse

    ** SPOILERS BELOW **

I finished the campaign last week and I love how they seamlessly bring the events and setting of Halo 1 in at the end of the game. However, I was hoping that the Master Chief would have some part, even if it were just a cut scene showing him escorting Captain Keys in the pelican to pick up Cortana from Noble Six.

*sigh* I just hope there is an alternate ending when I finish on Legendary. Maybe then the Chief will make some cameo, or perhaps save Noble Six during Lone Wolf. *shug* I don't know.....

Reach is the best of the franchise since the original Halo, even in the absence of the Chief. I'm a bit biased though. I think I'm a bigger fan of the Chief than the Halo universe. Multiplayer is VERY good, although I'm a little disappointed in their maps. I'm glad they bought back a couple Halo 2 classics but there still needs to be more. I'm sure the $15 map pack is around the corner
