    Did some work on @ajohnson y-pipe. This is the first merge I have fabricated from scratch.

    The hardest part will be aligning the passenger exhaust to the merge because there is zero wiggle room due to not having a slip fit at the merge.

    If I ever have to reposition pieces after tacking them I use a dremel and diamond wheel to carefully cut away the tack. It's time consuming but the only way I know to ensure the best looking finish. See pics below.

    In the last pic you can see the new tack and how much the old tack "halves" have rotated. The pipe was rotated slightly after this pic to realign the tubing.

    So this is the second merge collector I have made and will show some of the steps involved in its fabrication. This one is not slated for a 1GR though!?!

    Now I can finish welding the merge area and attach the transition cone. This one is 2.5" exit.

    Completed assembly with v-band attached.

    As I stated in the beginning of this post, this merge collector is not going on a 1GR!

    It actually went on a 2wd 2GR! Yes that's correct, I just fabbed the first tuned equal length Turd gen y-pipe.
