It’s crazy has dogs mourn the lost of their buddies. Shit when I had to put down my 14 year old Corgi Beau Lola my Lab would just sit in the back yard and howl. Crazy thing is you would think Lola didn’t even like Beau. She hardly paid him any mind when he was alive. But the second he was gone she became lonely without him.

I had it done on both my rescues. It was fun seeing what mix they were even though I guessed it right on my older boy.
Heres some pics of my boys out camping last week. They love to get out even though they stay leashed the whole time. I cant trust them off leash to not run off and get lost.
Here they are sharing the arm rest as that's the favorite spot to rest there heads.

Hanging out the window is easily their favorite way to ride in the truck.

Heres the campsite on day 2 of the trip.

My Akita was like that - bigger neck than head. Collar was always an option with him because he could take it off or put in on at will. Funnily enough he preferred it on because "it was his."

    How's he with collars?

We use a Sprenger prong collar most of the time, although we use an e-collar as well. With the Sprenger’s you can add links as they grow, which is nice as Bully’s outgrow flat collars at the rapid rate.

We officially adopted Gemma this weekend. She really loves that back window.

    She is 2-3 years old.

Well I need to make a correction here we thought Gemma was a Puggle. My wife decided to run a DNA test on our Gemma girl and we found out she is a Cocker Spaniel/Chihuahua mix with a little percentage of Dachshund mixed in. We don't care though she is an awesome little dog no matter where she came from.

NASA could set their clocks to this dog. 1 minute after our normal walk time, I'm reminded it's time to go.

Mine does the same thing. I remember the first time I realized he'd gotten bigger. I'd just given him free roam of the house and one morning, I woke up to dog breath. Right at the time I'd normally get up to let him out....
