Do they MAKE them? I always saw them as a company that re branded Chinese lights as their own. Figured sliders might be the same.

OP, I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but it may be useful to you: I was experiencing some pilling/wear on the seat of my 2017 Tacoma. Installed a set of Clazzio seat covers and the seat wear has stopped. Just a thought, for your consideration.

Thanks for the advice. I’m set on the OEM cast aluminum or some used sliders. If anyone has any leads on these used for $400 shoot me a message.

I have these on my truck and love them. They are heavy duty steps - not sliders as they do bolt to the rocker panel, but I have scraped them on some rocks a couple of times with no issue. The lowest part of the step assembly is about the same as the frame under the truck so you aren't really losing much in terms of breakover in my experience, and it's really hard to beat this price. The powder coat on mine are just as good as new nearly 3 years later. The step is still a bit high, but not as high as some of the recommendations here. Much lower and you'll lose more of your breaker

Some folks put a pad of some sort over the plates that have the logos/stars to cover up the branding if that's your thing. Best value of any mod I've done to my truck

Id recommend Victory 4x4 if it weren't for the budget. They're a bit of a stretch at 750 but well worth it as they're incredibly strong, useful as a step, and very low profile: IMG_20190922_100435.jpg

I have these, and at a height of 5'7", they are too high up for me. I have to bend over in a crouch if I step on them to get in or out of the truck. Without them, like you I slide off the edge of the seat, subjecting the edge of the seat to wear. They are at the perfect height to tie things on to the roof rack (I usually am hauling sea kayaks.)

If I had it to do over, and I might, I'd get one of the versions other people have posted with the extra, detachable steps below the sliders.

Don't know how tall you are, it might be different for you.

Just for the record also, seeing as you have a young daughter and all, I was recently T boned in the truck in that picture. Picture was AFTER the accident. Those are the very same sliders that were on the truck when I got in that accident. They're absolutely as solid as can be, I have nothing but appreciation and great things to say about them. May not have been a huge consideration, but these sliders significantly increased side collision safety for what that's worth
