I was pretty impressed with Savikas zdundras transformation over the other strongman, not gonna lie he was or is looking pretty good. Haven't followed him for over a year though so not sure what he looks like now.

He drops quite a bit of weight in the off season but I'm pretty sure he had an injury and took a lot of time off which helped him lose some pounds. He is looking like he's training to compete again now. I hope he does, he is one of my top favorites and without a doubt the strongest man on the planet.

I’m just now getting into kiwi. Was reading that it can be a natural sleep aid so decided to give it a shot. Is the skin good?

Oh! Yes! You are going in for a surgery eval? Nice work. Fingers crossed that they have a solution for you that restores function and reduces pain.

PS - what was your original diagnosis?

    I like it.

I feel like with nearly all foods the skin is the most nutritive part.

That’s why I take the CBD, I’d much prefer the real thing as well :rasta:

I figured I'd post my dinner too. Sparkling water and a defrosted bottle of water that Amazon uses as cold packs to ship groceries to me. About seven hours into my daily 18hr fast.

This is my first ortho visit. I was seeing my PT earlier this summer and he votes meniscus tear. He gave me a protocol but its getting worse and I’m getting catching now. He told me its time to go see a surgeon.
He’s been spot on with all my other injuries (I’ve been seeing him since 2015).

If surgery is the answer I just want to be able to not do it till January. Ideally I’d like to be more financially prepared. New job, new deductible, no vacation yet, family plan so decent out of pocket.

You will be able to wait until January and plan a week off work, no problem. Your surgeon will try to schedule you before then, these injuries do heal better the sooner you deal with them. Did your PT have you brace it, stop running, and focus on yoga for two-three months? (Which is what you should do while you are waiting until January). That is the protocol for healing meniscus tears without surgery. Some docs will add HG injections too. Hopefully you didn't make it worse by continuing to run.

    or

smoke a little and to get a better and healthier high.

the unhealthier option is the legal one which is BS lol

PT tells me I can continue activity as normal as long as there is no pain or improvement of pain. Pain is worse so no more stairs.

I wear a brace on lifting days just to make sure I don’t twist it. Thats why I get more pain on chest and back days, getting up and down off the bench is more problematic.

I don’t bike or swim only run or light eliptical.

Zero pain with running. Even with sprint work. It hurts the most with hyperextension, squatting below 90, and quad activation.

Fasting is easy. I do all my eating within a six hour window each day. Start by moving dinner an hour back every couple days until its the same time as lunch and that's it. Now you are fasting 18hrs a day. I do cheat on the days I lift heavy by chugging a protein shake before bed to increase my natural HG and IGF1 release. That helps recovery a lot.

Just switch dinner up to snack foods like trail mix and protein bars if you have a busy work schedule - something you can eat on the go, or while working. Then during the days that dinner conflicts with your work schedule its not big deal.

So you tore your posterior-lateral meniscus? Pain is in the back of your knee, towards the outside a little? Bummer my friend. My fingers are crossed.

That is most unfortunate. Glad my job doesn’t drug test. And I’m trying to look for a job in the cannabis industry now too. But not sure that will happen sadly. Just hoping any new job I get doesn’t test. I’ll be one unhappy camper. Nothin better than a post workout bongie :rasta:
