Good evening everyone. Apologies for the typical tire/rim post but I need advice asap since I just blew a tire on the road after some dudes furniture drawer decided to fly out of his trick and land right in front of my tire tonight. Got home safe thankfully after putting my spare on.

I have a 16 Offroad with stock tires and rims. They have held up well for 30k miles.

Since I have to look for an immediate replacement, I have been eyeballing the 4Runner pro rims in black(17's).

    Questions:

In my hasty research, it looks like these rims accept 265/70/17 really well and are only slightly larger than my stock tires.
    - Would this size be best to go with? I want to keep mpg close to stock but have the larger 17" rim.

    - If I wanted a slightly skinnier tire, what would be recommended to be similar to stock and not rub?

I am looking at the falken wildpeak at3/w's, and am not sure which model to get exactly and which rating.
    - Do I want the A/T3W 265/70R17 115T BSW Tires? Not sure about the load, speed, or ply ratings exactly.

I already put around 70 miles on the stock spare tire, and I'm not sure how long I can safely ride on it, and if I can use it again with the 17's.
    - Do I keep the stock 16" steelie as a spare if I get 17's?
    - Should I just get a 5th set and throw it in the wheel well?

    - Lastly, any recommendations on where to get the rims and tires? I'm in the San Diego area.

Appreciate any feedback, and again, apologies for the typical questions since I have little time for extensive research at the moment.

You can go 50K miles on stock full size spare
    You have time.

go with 265/70/17 (T) wildpeaks for tires. They're cheap on Amazon and they won't hit your mpg too much (>1 mpg). You could also get a 265 65 17 tire which is the same diameter as stock and not have to worry about a spare. If you went with 265/70/17 tires, you could get a 265 75 16 spare and it will be same diameter.

So the (T) would be what exactly? I have read that I should get a "C" rating but I'm not sure which specific 265/70/17 AT3/W that would be.

Also, I could use a spare 16" with 265/75/16 even if I use 265/70/17 wheels? I figured the faster rotation of the 16" on the axel would screw something up since the 17" doesn't rotate the same amount while driving.

Thanks for the help so far!

265/75r16 and 265/70r17 have the same circumference
